Meet our Preschool Staff

Dear Parents and Guardians,
I would like to welcome you and your little Blue Jay to the St. Joseph nest!  Preschool is an exciting time for little ones.  For some children, this will be the first time they leave their loved ones for an extended period of time during their day. For this reason, it is imperative your child’s first educational experience is a positive one.  I am excited and humbled to be on this first step of your child’s educational and spiritual journey at St. Joseph.
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. As a St. Joseph alum (class of 1994), I feel privileged and blessed to be a part of this special school and its distinguished staff. Prior to this position, I attended Xavier University where I earned an Undergraduate Degree (Intervention Specialist) and a Master’s Degree (Special Education).  After Xavier, I was an Intervention Specialist for Fairfield City Schools.  As our family began to grow, I decided to stay home with our four children, where I also provided in home child care.  It is with my previous teaching and child care experience; I feel my path has come full circle as a preschool teacher right here at St. Joseph.
Our preschool room will be a room filled with joy and learning. We will not only be focused on educational goals, but also developing a love for Jesus!  Our classroom will be a faith-based community learning how to live out God’s word not only within our classroom, but also outside the walls of St. Joseph. We will be a noisy crew, but we strongly believe play is paramount to learning and development during the preschool years. At St. Joseph, we believe in educating the whole child.  Our goal is for your child to feel loved each day he or she comes to school. Through our research-based curriculum and educational centers, your child will have the opportunity to learn through their interests, desires and experiences.  Those children staying for a full day will have the opportunity to have a rest period and lunch (in house cafeteria or packed lunches) with their classmates and additional enrichment opportunities (i.e. STEM, additional fine and gross motor, outdoor play, etc.).
I look forward to watching your Blue Jay spread their wings and not only fly; but soar here at St. Joseph Consolidated School!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Katie Zboril

Welcome to Preschool!
My name is Alpha Harding and I am the director of the SJCS Preschool program. I am also co-teaching with Mrs Zboril in the preschool room. I have volunteered/worked in the School Office at St Joseph Consolidated School for 11 years prior to working in the preschool room. I have 2 children that both attended SJCS from kindergarten through 8th grade, one of them has graduated, and the other is a senior at Badin this year.  I am blessed to be a part of this wonderful community and staff.
I am originally from Connecticut, we moved to Ohio from Colorado in 2005 where I was a lead teacher at The Carriage House Preschool for 6 years. I have a BS from Southern Connecticut State University and I am very excited to be working in preschool again.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Alpha Harding

Hello!
My name is Danielle Pate, and I am so excited to welcome you to our preschool classroom! I graduated from St. Joes, myself, back in 2013, and I am very happy to be back here working in the preschool classroom with Mrs. Zboril and Mrs. Harding. It is such a special place to be! After graduating from St. Joes, I went to Badin High School and then to Miami University where I received my Bachelors in Psychological Science and Applied Social Research. I am now at Wright State University where I am studying to receive my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. This is my third year working as a part-time aide to both Mrs. Zboril and Mrs. Harding in the preschool classroom. I love working here and getting to see the kids grow throughout the year!
Sincerely,
Ms. Danielle Pate
