Mrs. Radcliff has spent the past few years teaching Spanish on part time basis at our neighboring school, St. Ann, Hamilton. Our friends at St. Ann’s were very gracious in sharing her contact information, which lead to a discussion of her interest in taking on the task of teaching Spanish here at St. Joe’s. She readily agreed to do so and will be teaching students in grades 4 through 8. Spanish classes will be held each Wednesday for 45 minutes. As encouraged by the Archdiocese and the State of Ohio, Spanish (Foreign Language) will be added to the report card. This, of course, means student progress in these classes will be assessed/graded and grades reported on Option C. Mrs. Radcliff comes to the field of education after completing a 20-plus-year career with the Toledo-based company, Libbey, Inc. She is a parishioner at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church where she has served on numerous volunteer committees.
