What About the Neighborhood?

Our location in an urban setting can be a concern to new families who don't know us. Our fenced and gated playground has led some to a false conclusion that there is something to fear on the outside. (Actually, they're there to keep students and playground balls on the inside.) We understand fear, but we know that those who overcome their fear, and give St. Joseph a chance, will come to appreciate that we have great neighbors and are blessed to be part of a wonderful, diverse urban community. Families that have become part of St. Joseph school and/or parish communities come to appreciate what a hidden treasure we have.
