The Annual SJCS Drawdown is our biggest fundraiser of the year and is an essential part of supporting our St Joseph school community. Funds raised from this event goes to our Building Operations budget, which helps maintain and improve our school facilities.

This adult-only event is held at Badin High School’s PFAC, with doors opening at 5:30. Besides your Drawdown ticket being placed in a drawing for our grand prize, it also includes dinner, dessert, drinks, and access to our games and silent auction prizes. Our Drawdown is known for having well over 100 silent auction prizes! You can bid on those items throughout the night. The silent auction closes just before the end of the evening. We are always looking for and accepting donations of silent auction items.

To continue the success of our annual Drawdown, volunteers are always needed and greatly appreciated. If you are new to Drawdown, please see below for some FAQ’s:

What is the actual Drawdown?
The ticket you purchase is your entry into the drawing. As the night goes on, we will be pulling tickets out of a hopper. As we pull the tickets, we will cross the numbers out on a giant numbered board. If your ticket remains, you have a chance to win a $2500 grand prize or $500 second prize! Once it gets down to 4 or 5 people and they try to decide whether they will split the money or keep drawing. Truly, one of the best parts of the night!

What do I wear?
It's a casual night—jeans, whatever you are comfortable wearing!

What’s for dinner?
At 6:30 there will be a delicious meal, which is included in the ticket price. There will also be a huge dessert table offering lots of choices. Beer and soda are included with your ticket price. Dinner is informal, buffet style. 100% delicious!

What do you do after you eat?
After dinner, the night is typically spent playing games, browsing the silent auction, watching the actual Drawdown, and socializing. You are welcome to join in bidding on items or just walk around and socialize.

How can I support the Drawdown if I cannot attend?
We do understand that families have busy schedules so you may not be able to attend the Drawdown in person. There are ways to still support this important fundraiser. You do not need to be present to win, so you can still purchase tickets. Parents can also donate baskets, desserts or a monetary donation to help. It is also helpful for all to spread the word to friends and family and invite them to attend.

Volunteers? This is where YOU can help!
All great things at St. Joseph involves a lot of great people. In the coming days, you’ll see a volunteer sign-up sheet for Drawdown. The sign-ups typically have hour shifts, so you can still have plenty of time to enjoy the evening. Volunteers are always appreciated and lighten the load for all!
