St. Joseph Hamilton Community Foundation Educator of the Year
Mr. Schutte did not take the traditional path into education, and that is precisely what makes him such an extraordinary teacher. Prior to teaching Joe worked for the Hamilton Fire Department for 32 years, retiring as Fire Chief in 2012. Mr. Schutte joined the St. Joseph teaching staff in 2019 as the junior high religion teacher. Joe is no stranger to the St. Joseph community as he and his wife have been parishioners since 1986. His children attended St. Joseph Consolidated School, and he now has the pleasure of teaching his grandchildren.
