Mrs. Prough's Science students have been busy! Grade 8 conducted a lab that involved erosion and deposition. Students created a simulation of wave action on a shoreline, and studied the results of the effects of erosion from the force of water.<br>Grade 7 students conducted a lab on "reaching the dew point." After learning about the water cycle and all of its components, students created a situation where condensation occurred. They investigated what happens to the outside of a cup containing room temperature water vs. the same cup of water... after adding ice to it, minutes later.<br>Grade 6 students conducted an investigation using scientific inquiry skills. Several mystery boxes were placed around the room. Students had to make observations using their 5 senses. When the box contents were revealed, students matched results with their hypotheses to see if they guessed correctly!
