The Moeller Football program will be holding their second annual Victory Day for students with special needs. Victory Day is a day designed for students with special needs to get their time to shine. After being paired with a Moeller football player they get to wear a Moeller jersey, take the field, and have the spotlight. Participants get to go through football drills, get a t-shirt, and run through a tunnel of family, players, and cheerleaders. My favorite part is when they each get to score touchdowns against a Moeller mock defense- complete with play by play announcing over the loudspeaker. At the end of the day each participant gets a medal during a special ceremony with Coach Bathiany. It is hard to put into words how special this event truly is. Family members are welcome to stay close to their child and every part of the day is flexible and made just for them. The event is FREE and open to any child with special needs ages 5-18. Registration is open now by emailing [email protected]. Spots are limited.
