Jog N Jam 5K Pledge Information

It is time again for the Annual SJCS Jog N Jam!  It is our 11th year for this event!   Saturday May 13th  at 9 am at VORA Technology Park is the day of the event!   This is a major fund raiser for our school that helps support building needs and provides our children and staff with opportunities to enrich their learning environment throughout the school year.

We are continuing with the opportunity for students to get pledges to participate in the 5K or kid’s fun run (between ½ mile-1 mile, begins at 8:30 am this year).  We are setting a goal for each student to raise $15.  This will provide them with a free registration for the 5K and T-shirt.  Even if your family can not attend the event, it is a great way to get a school approved gym shirt! 

“Our words of encouragement “for our awesome blue jay runners /walkers will be an option again this year. If your donor uses 99 pledges, there is a place to leave a message for the student.  If cash or check is used, please add your words to the attached pledge sheet! Keep your eyes open as these will appear along the 5K course on the day of the race!

How it works:

1. Each family will receive an email from 99 pledges which is customizable to fit your family. If you don’t receive the email for whatever reason, simply search and find your student’s online pledge page at        http://99 pledges.com/fund/jognjam2023
2. You can send this email to family and friends and share on Facebook and Twitter
3. Paper copies are available to print on the family’s webpage.
4. Credit Cards can processed via the 99 pledges website. Donor will receive tax deductible receipt from 99 pledges via email.
5. Cash and check donations can be tracked via the attached pledge sheet and family envelope. New this year is a information sheet if students want to talk with family and friends in person and can customize to give to them.
6. These transactions will be tracked and entered to the 99 pledges site by members of the 5K committee. Receipts for cash donations can be given upon request only.
7. Corporate Sponsorship money and other family member registrations CAN NOT go toward student pledge goal. Pledge prizes on backside.

 

Free 5K Registration and T-shirt

Student that raises $15 in pledge money by 4/4 will receive free registration and 5K t-shirt. If your child meets this goal by 4/4 then please send in the attached completed gold registration form with shirt size by the SAME date 4/4. EARLY DEADLINE is to allow time for shirts to be printed. Not completing this form by 4/4 may forfeit your child’s prize of free registration and T-shirt.

 

PLEDGE prizes below can be earned until end of school day Thursday 5/11 and Winners will be announced at end of school day Friday 5/12.             

 

Out of Uniform PASS

For each family that raises $50 in pledge money, each student member of the family will be eligible to participate on “5K Out of Uniform Winner Day” on Monday 5/15

 

$50 CASH

For each family that raises $75 in pledge money each family gets an entry for a drawing for $50

 

$100 CASH

For each family that raises $100 in pledge money each family gets an entry for a drawing for $100 CASH

 

HIGHEST PLEDGE FAMILY

The family with the highest earned pledge money wins a Lunch with Mr. Hicks compliments of the 5K Committee

 

Participation PRIZE for registering for 5K

The class (Preschool- 8th grade) with the highest percentage of participants (teachers included) registered by RACE DAY-5/13 will win a choice of pizza lunch or donut breakfast!

Our 11th Annual Jog-n-Jam will be Saturday, May 13th, 2023.  We are currently working on getting our business sponsors for the race.  Our deadline is Wednesday, March 1st, 2023 to guarantee that sponsors will be on our marketing signs, flyers, printed materials and website.  They have until March 31st to appear on our race t-shirt.  Our sponsors’ support is what funds our PTO and directly benefits our students.  We are always looking for new sponsorships, more help, and new ideas.  Sponsors are always more willing to support us when someone they know contacts them and asks for help.
