🚙🚗Safety Town Opportunities
Safety Town is a fun and interactive way for potty trained four to five year old children to experience safety lessons in a way that is engaging and enjoyable! This program is offered free to the public. We offer over 250 spots a year, first come first serve. It is held at Officer Bob Gentry Safety Town Park located at 105 Williams Ave. Hamilton, OH
This summer "SAFETY TOWN" will mark its 53rd season as an asset to the City of Hamilton and the Butler County area. Children will be instructed in pedestrian, vehicle, school bus, stranger dangers, gun safety, and fire safety. We also offer a Bicycle Rodeo course for six to eight year olds.
This year, Safety Town is offering a special week designed specifically for children with developmental disabilities! While Safety Town is inclusive of all children and welcomes those of all abilities throughout the summer, the week of July 28th is a week tailored for children who may benefit from a more focused experience. The program will cover the same content but will include a sensory-friendly environment, breaks throughout the morning and smaller class size. A caregiver/parent will be required to attend.

🏕️Camp Planned for Students with Food and Other Allergies and Conditions
The Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Connection Team (FAACT) is a national patient advocacy organization, and its mission is to educate, advocate, and raise awareness for all individuals and families affected by food allergies and life-threatening anaphylaxis.
One of the programs offered is FAACT's Camp TAG (The Allergy Gang) summer program. Our Ohio location is at YMCA Camp Kern in Lebanon, scheduled for June 2-6. A Camp TAG Scholarship Program is available for families who may need financial support, and those details, along with registration and other information, are on the team's website at https://www.foodallergyawareness.org/camp-tag/.
Camp TAG is a one-week day camp designed specifically for children ages 4-13 and teens ages 14+ (teen counselors receive 35 community hours for the week). Camp TAG provides a safe place for children and teens with food allergies, eosinophilic disorders, FPIES, Celiac disease, atopic dermatitis (eczema), asthma, and/or mast cell disorders, and their non-allergic siblings to have fun – with no worries about allergic reactions – and meet other children who share similar experiences. Camp TAG provides peer-to-peer networks, support, gaining independence and confidence, and more - everyone has the opportunity to be with others who live it and get it. It is a bonding and empowering week for all campers and counselors, including parents/caregivers. Many camp families travel from across the country to attend and make a vacation out of the week.
