Welcome to the SJCS Office! We are the center of communication here at St. Joseph Consolidated School. St. Joseph takes pride in sending a weekly newsletter to all parents and some of our grandparents to help informed of the happenings in our building. This newsletter is emailed to families on Thursday.
IMPORTANT PARENT REMINDERS

Parent Updates 8-29-2022

Here are a few updates and reminders for SJCS families after the first couple days of school.

1.School Office Emails-PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure you read our weekly newsletters and all emails from the school office.  This is our primary way to inform parents of all that is going on at school.    Please check your emails on a regular basis so your family is in the loop and so you do not miss any important updates.

  1. Arrival Time Reminder- Please remember students should not be dropped off to school before 7:10 a.m.  This allows for us to have sufficient staff present and for teachers to make copies and get prepared for the school day.

  1. School Visitors- We welcome school visitors and volunteers.  If you are coming into school we ask that all visitors check in with the office.  This is for safety reasons and to help eliminate classroom interruptions.  All volunteers must have completed the SAfe Parish program through the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.

  1. Call in Students- Please make sure to email or call the office if students are going to be out for the day.   We are required by the state to verify attendance of students so your calls and emails are appreciated and help expedite the process for the office staff.

  1. Early Dismissal- We do understand that sometimes students need to be picked up early for appointments and family emergencies.  We ask that we be notified as early as possible in the office so we can let the teachers know and have students ready to be picked up.  Emailing the office and classroom teacher the night before about appointments is a great way to help keep the process smooth.

6.Tuition Payments- Tuition payments are due the 1st day of each month.  Payments can be sent into school with students.  These payments will be forwarded to the tuition office.  Please ensure tuition payments are made in a timely manner.

  1. Class Fees- If you have not paid your class fees please send them in ASAP.  Classroom teachers use these fees to purchase items and help set up their classrooms.  If you are delinquent this is taking money directly from the teacher.  Please send these in a timely manner.

  1. Regular Dismissal- Please make sure you come at the time slot where you are signed up.  Do not come early.  School dismisses at 2:10 p.m. each day for students in grades K-8 .

The preschool students (with only a preschooler, no siblings) have a special time for pick up first at 2:00 p.m. to assist with loading students into the car.   All other students K-8 (including those with preschool siblings) will begin pick up at 2:10 p.m., 2:15 p.m. or 2:20 p.m.

  1. Occasional Pick Up

If you are just picking your child up occasionally please call the office by 1:30 p.m. to put them on the pick up list. You should arrive at 2:20 p.m. or 2:25 p.m. for pick up.   All other time slots have been assigned to someone else at this time.  If your child has an appointment and you need them early please let us know as soon as possible by calling or emailing the office.
